The freelancer route runs through a freelance permit and a free zone licence, then the residence visa. Tech Nomads selects the right free zone, arranges the licence and coordinates the application until your Emirates ID and visa are issued.

Case preparation, the free zone licence and the visa application are handled as non-regulated advisory and on-the-ground work by Tech Nomads LLC-FZ (Dubai). UK-regulated immigration legal work, where engaged on the Elite package, is handled by Tech Nomads Limited (IAA-regulated, London).

Licence ≠ Residence

The freelance licence supports your case but does not itself grant residence. A separate visa application, medical, biometrics and Emirates ID complete the 10-year residence.

What income do I need?

An annual income of around AED 360,000+, or proof of financial solvency to support yourself during residence. We help structure income and solvency evidence on your assessment call.

Do I need a freelance permit?

Yes — a freelancer or self-employment permit from MOHRE or a UAE Free Zone authority. We select the right free zone and arrange the licence and establishment card.

Do I need a university degree?

An undergraduate degree, diploma or equivalent professional qualification is generally expected. Qualification attestation may be required, which we guide you through.

Can my family come with me?

Yes. Spouses and children of any age can be sponsored under your visa. Each dependant requires a separate visa, Emirates ID and medical examination.

How long is the visa valid?

The Golden Visa is a 10-year, renewable, self-sponsored residence permit — no employer or local partner required and no annual renewals.

How much does it cost?
