Why This Route

Why the UAE Golden Visa talent route is different

The Golden Visa talent route gives recognised professionals a long-term, self-sponsored base in the UAE — without an employer, local partner or financial investment. Tech Nomads helps you assess your profile, identify the right talent category, secure a UAE government recommendation and prepare the endorsement evidence, then move to the residence visa stage with regulated support where required.

Who It's For

The talent route covers a defined set of professional categories. A key eligibility requirement is an official recommendation from a UAE government entity — proof that your skills are considered valuable to the UAE. This page focuses on the talent (non-investment) route.

A strong job title is not enough

The endorsing authority looks for evidence of achievement, recognition and value to the UAE — not seniority alone.
Who Decides

The endorsing body depends on your category

There is no single endorsing authority. Each talent category is recommended by a different UAE government body — the one that owns that field. Tech Nomads identifies the correct authority for your category, prepares the submission and coordinates until the recommendation letter is issued.
Ministry of Economy
Innovators & inventors, digital technology talent, executive directors and entrepreneurs with patents or proven business impact.
Ministry of Health & Prevention
Each application is reviewed by sector experts with experience in digital technology — typically founders, senior operators, investors and technical leaders.Doctors, surgeons and medical professionals with recognised specialisations.
Ministry of Education
Academics, researchers and specialists in engineering & science with published work or institutional recognition.
Ministry of Culture & Youth
Artists, designers, musicians, writers and creative professionals with recognised cultural contributions.
General Authority of Sports
Elite athletes, sports professionals and coaches with recognised achievements.
Federal Authority (ICP)
Oversees the Golden Visa programme and coordinates endorsements across all categories.
Emirate-level authorities
Dubai Department of Economy & Tourism, Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development and equivalent bodies in other emirates.
Tech Nomads is not a UAE government entity. We identify the correct authority for your category, prepare and submit the recommendation case; the authority independently reviews and decides it.

What we handle at the visa stage

Once the recommendation is issued, the case moves into the residence visa stage — entry permit, medical, biometrics, Emirates ID and visa stamping. The endorsement and case-preparation work is non-regulated advisory work by Tech Nomads LLC-FZ (Dubai); UK-regulated legal work, where engaged on the Elite package, is handled by Tech Nomads Limited (IAA-regulated, London).

Endorsement ≠ Visa

A government recommendation supports your case but does not itself grant residence. A separate visa application, medical, biometrics and Emirates ID are required to complete the 10-year residence.

application process

02
Step 2

FAQ

Golden Visa
Talent FAQs

Each answer reflects official UAE Golden Visa guidance.

Who is eligible for the Golden Visa talent route?

Recognised professionals in defined categories — innovators and inventors, digital technology talent, executive directors, doctors and scientists, athletes, creative professionals, and engineering and science specialists. A government recommendation confirms your skills are valuable to the UAE.

Do I need to invest to get a Golden Visa?

Not on the talent route. The talent route is based on your professional profile and a government recommendation rather than a financial investment. Separate investor and entrepreneur routes exist for those who prefer an investment basis.

How long is the Golden Visa valid?

The Golden Visa is a 10-year, renewable residence permit. It is self-sponsored, so you do not need an employer or local partner, and there is no need for annual renewals.

Do I need a sponsor or employer?

No. The Golden Visa is self-sponsored. You can work, run a business or work remotely from the UAE without an employer or local partner.

Can my family come with me?

Yes. Spouses and children of any age can be sponsored under your visa. Each dependant requires a separate visa, Emirates ID and medical examination.

Who issues the recommendation?

Depending on your category, a UAE government entity such as the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Health and Prevention, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Culture and Youth, the Federal Authority (ICP) or an emirate-level authority. Tech Nomads identifies the correct body and prepares the submission.

How much does it cost?

Tech Nomads fees are confirmed on your assessment call and depend on your category, case complexity and whether you choose the Pro (endorsement) or Elite (endorsement plus visa stage) package. Government fees are separate and paid directly to UAE authorities — typically around $760 visa, $310 Emirates ID and $1,090 medical, per applicant.

What happens if the recommendation is refused?

The Pro and Elite packages include a free appeal and resubmission. We review the reasons, strengthen the evidence where needed and resubmit, subject to your category and timeline.
